AAHA-AVMA Feline Preventive Healthcare Guidelines

Developed jointly by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), these Guidelines provide information for veterinary professionals on the care and treatment of feline patients.

The 2-sided, single-page Feline Guidelines document features an easy-to-use, checklist-style format that offers information on:

  • Recommendations for frequency of visits
  • Subjective, objective, and assessment components for a health evaluation
  • Client communication and education plan

The information is not intended to dictate an exclusive protocol, course of treatment, or procedure. The guidelines are not to be considered an official AAHA or AVMA standard of care.
